The Science and Spirit of Management is the result of an out-of-the-the-ordinary life experience for the author that combines an extremely diversified professional career, academic studies, a great deal of research, exposure to spiritual teachings, lectures, especially in the areas of Organization Development and Organization & Methods respectively and above all, much reflection.
The origin of this book can be traced to coaching efforts that spanned more than a decade throughout different organizations and industries in different countries. It evolved to be a very successful training material until eventually it was developed into a book format. The final product is a very comprehensive and concise collection of knowledge that contributes to the improvement of manager performance.

André Faizi Alves has a Master’s Degree in Organization Development from the Graduate School of Business at Loyola University Chicago (USA), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economic Sciences from UNISINOS – Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (Brazil). He was an associate professor of Organization & Systems and Administrative Methods & Processes at UnB – Universidade de Brasilia (Brazil). His career has highlighted work with Decision Making and Team Management, Organization Development and Change, Strategic Management, and Corporate Finance. He also possesses good general knowledge in most other major functional areas.
